For $10 it wasn't a bad rib dinner. My companion had a Reuben sandwich that he thoroughly enjoyed, but my food was mixed. The ribs had a fatty, fall-off-the bone quality that deserves three stars. But the salad was mediocre, and the vegetables were plain bad. The carrots had a spongy quality to them, like what you get when you accidentally freeze vegetables in your refrigerator and then defrost them. On a slow Wednesday night the ambience was okay--the music was not too loud for most of the meal. I've had worse meals, but I'm not planning to go back.

Where do you go on a Friday night when you want to feel better about the state of your life? Hoggsbreath! No, seriously. The happy hour is good. There are always specials, and the people watching is AMAZING, especially on weekends and their theme nights. Not gonna lie, I'm sometimes the object of others' people watching due to the cheapness of 2-4-1s, but hey! Indulging once an a while isn't so bad, and at Hoggsbreath, nobody judges you. The meat market atmosphere and the smell of desperation is palpable. But, the bartenders and servers are generally very friendly. If you're not into the sloppy, drunken dancing and hookups that head back to the trailer park, the basement is a nice laid-back place to play pool or just hang out. Oh, and the food is not too shabby. I hear their weekend breakfast is delish.

Great place for lunch. I work nearby and this is always our first choice when we go out to eat. Super friendly staff and awesome lunch specials to save you some cash.

Hair in my food: yuck. The bartender seemed bi-polar and the owners were sullen: all the personality of wallpaper. The patrons are old, overly familiar with the place and a bit catatonic. Save this place for meeting the 'skanks' mentioned in the previous posts and eat somewhere else.

Large, overgrown sports bar with billiards and a dance floor. Two stars for the drunken memories of all-night dancing with a fierce group of women at the hoggsbreath. No stars for the creepy men from northern minnesota, the gross sugary drinks, the lack of tables, the dirty floors, and the fat bouncer who insisted on giving me 21 birthday spankings. (I spanked him right back, despite my drunken state. Actually I think I attacked him. He deserved it.) I've only come here with my mom & her friends (gasp!) but she has fond memories of when she used to party here when she was in her twenties. And so we always have a great time. Would I go here on my own? Probably not.

I gave it a 3 because its been a while since Ive been there and it was pretty shady but its nice to hear its cleaned up! They do have multiple activities to keep you busy and if the staff doesnt have their old snotty attitudes then its a great place! Ive been rambling down the road a few blocks to Deans, they have live music some weekends, really good food and a varied crowd that all seem to get along. But being from that area I may have to give the Hoggs another shot! Thanks Shellie P!

Went there on a Wednesday(Last october) with a buddy who was meeting up with a chick and Goodness --Went through metal detectors and some facial recogtiztion system. I thought I was entering the white house --Hood people (no thanks jeff) one girl was so drunk that she was bending over in front of me --Buddies date was a disaster and we dipped out I heard this place was easy to pick up DTF chicks, if you wanna catch an STD then I don't doubt it Will never be visiting this place again

A nice after work bar. It seems to changed from a dive bar to a nice bar. Pool tables downstairs and really nice wait staff.

When I heard our little group was meeting at Hoggsbreath I had memories of years past and stumbling into biker bars or the time I was surrounded by bikers at another location. Reading other Yelper's viewpoints only made me more cautious. None of my fears were realized. No metal detector, a tame crowd of various ages. Service was swift. Taking advantage of Happy Hour food and drink specials we waiting an exceptionally long time for the first appetizer but the second order took less the ten minutes to arrive. The story is this place has a past which seems to be cleaned up and I would not hesitate to visit here again. It's very similar to other sports themed bars (see Legend's) and there is nothing outstanding and nothing less than average. Caution: The Restrooms are located downstairs in the game room and if your legs are shaky from a night of drinking with your buds use the large hand rails for support.

HOLY SHADES OF DRUNKEN DRAMA !!!!! If you are really young and want to go get drunk , dance, and hook up, this is your nitetime place to be. Be prepared for shoulder to shoulder closeness. However, if you come here for lunch, your will be amazed at the specials and menu selections. We had burgers that were hand pattied and cooked to wonderful juicy perfection. Too busy eating to even talk ! My mom and her friends came here after church on Sunday mornings for years. The Bloody Mary's were the draw I think. Fond fond memories. Just ignore the grubby factor, I did ;-)

They have an exceptional wait staff - if you want to be treated like family, this is your place. The lunch specials are good for a great price. Since I moved to Roseville a year ago, I frequent this place for lunch more than any other nearby establishment.

My wife and I had a groupon here for $30 and I know 4 stars is pretty high, but I am giving it 4 stars for what it is, a great dive bar. The waitress was super awesome, they had lots of TVs, the have Alaskan IPA and Surly Furious on Tap. The food was really good and they have an extensive menu. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwhich and chicken Philly. The chicken Philly was AMAZIN, and the buffalo chicken was just okay. The Gophers were beating Iowa in football at the time, so this may have swayed my vote. It was a great place for beer and good food on a Saturday at noon. Again, loved the service.

It had been years since I have been here. In fact it was called Hogsbreath Disco when I was last here. Doubt I could get into my white disco pants anymore! They have improved and modernized the place. Very open and friendly place. Kristina was very helpful with the menu and explaining the Groupon. There are big TV screens everywhere. We sat in front of the three screen set near the bar in big comfortable chairs. We came here to watch the Wild hockey game but found ourselves playing bingo. Tuesday is cash bingo night. It was fun. The feature burger called "Royal" is cheese, bacon and fried egg. Amazing. Worth returning just for this burger. Great value for under $9. The key is the meat itself. The flavor of the beef is perfect. The waffle fries were excellent. We also shared an Italian hoagie. It was ok. It was Wild Hockey and Bud night so large Budweiser taps were only $3. The bartender was very friendly. He is 6'8 and entertaining. Downstairs has a bar and seven pool tables. The bathrooms are large and clean, Parking is in the large lot surrounding the bar. Located north of Hwy 36 at the Rice street exit. There is a large deck for summertime fun. We will be back.
